ClearStar.net provides an Internet technology solution to a wide range of companies in the pre-employment screening, background check and tenant screening industries. Many of these companies have various business needs for connecting their ClearStar.net site with their Customer’s Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), resume systems, kiosk-bases systems/devices, internally used systems, or other web sites.

ClearStar.net provides Application Programming Interfaces (API) for both batch and real-time Supplier interfaces. For Customer/Business Owner type access to Profile and Order information, ClearStar.net first provided Clearstar.connect. This API is primarily intended for use in system-to-system data transfers and is not as well suited for use in interactive applications. The ClearStar.connect API requires a high level of understanding of ClearStar.net and its configuration to implement.

The ClearStar.net Gateway Web Services (Gateway) is a series of web services designed to enable Business Owners to fully integrate their process or systems into the ClearStar.net platform. In order to allow customers to take full advantage of the system, Gateway will include all functionality normally offered to the customer through the ClearStar.net web interface. Common administrative tasks normally completed by the Business Owner will also be available through Gateway. The initial version of Gateway provides access to Profile creation functionality including related lookup lists, Service lists, Customer configurations and data validation, and other view or list functionality related to customers, users, invoices, and services. Each new version will increase the level of ClearStar.net functionality that is available through Gateway.
